To conduct our research, we decided to use the Premier League fixture between Ipswich Town and Aston Villa, specifically on the Correct Score market. To access the odds for the game, we first clicked on the Premier League link in the Featured Sports menu on the home page.

  1. Firstly you will need to click on the match you want to be on
  2. Find the market you want to bet on in our case we scrolled down to the correct score market
  3. Add your selection to the betting slip by clicking on the odds you wish to bet on. Your bet should appear on the betting slip. In our case, we went from Aston Villa who was the away team to win 0-3
  4. Enter the amount that you wish to bet and click the “Place Bet” button.
  5. Your bet will then be confirmed- a bet receipt will appear in place of your betting slip to confirm the bet has been placed successfully.

How to withdraw from Virgin Bet

If you have been lucky enough to have won you then will be able to make a withdrawal. Your deposit method will be your only withdrawal option at this time. Once you have withdrawn an amount equal to your deposit other withdrawal options will become available. If you have made multiple deposits using various deposit options the same rules will apply.

For example…

You have deposited £20 via debit card and £10 via PayPal and had a successful week and your balance is £50. Your preferred method of withdrawal is PayPal but before you can withdraw more than £10 back to PayPal, you need to withdraw £20 back to your Visa card. Once this is done you can withdraw £30 or more back to PayPal.

To withdraw from your account follow these steps.

  1. From the home page click on the “More” option on the main menu
  2. This will load an additional menu where you click on “Withdraw”
  3. This will load up the withdrawal screen where you will need to enter the withdrawal amount and method. Finally, you will need to click withdraw at the bottom of the page

How to set safer gambling features at Virgin Bet

It’s important to only bet what you can afford and set yourself sensible limits. The most important aspect of betting is that you can do so safely and staying in control of your betting is vital. There are many organisations out there that can provide help if you need it.

Virgin Bet like many others provides a range of tools to help you stay in control and bet responsibly. They can be found on the main menu under “Safer gambling”

The first of these is Deposit Limits. You can set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits This will certainly help you stay in control of the amount of funds you’re transferring into your betting account.

The next is reality checks. There is an automatic message to warn you that you have been logged in for 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your chosen setting.

You can also take a break from betting by starting a cooling-off period, this can be anything from 1 day to 6 weeks.

Finally you can Self Exclude yourself not only from Virginbet but from all betting sites within the Livescore group.

We highly recommend you consider using the tools described above. As we’ve touched upon, you must bet safely and securely and take advantage of the help tools available to you.

One of the more popular forms of placing wagers is Live Betting also known as in-play betting. Most bookmakers now offer this and Virgin Bet is another. Live betting is often favored over traditional pre-match betting as it can provide instant excitement with ever-changing odds and will often keep customers interested in a particular event.

There are good and bad points when it comes to live betting which are detailed below.

Virgin Bet Mobile App Review

The Virgin Bet app is easy to navigate and is very easy to use as it’s very similar to the website. From the home page, you’re only one click away from the full list of sports to bet on. The option to withdraw and check your transaction history is in the same place as depositing, unlike the website. Promotion can be easily seen on both.

Pros & Cons of the App vs the Desktop Site

We found the Virgin Bet app to be just as user-friendly as the desktop site. They share the same brand aesthetics and features and there is very little difference as the app has virtually the same layout as the desktop site. This means you should be able to swap between the two if needed with no problems. Promotions are just as easy to find on both the app and desktop site there isn’t a lot of difference between them so which you choose to use will be down to user preference.
