How to qualify:
SBK was founded in 2019 by Smarkets Limited, the people behind the Smarkets Betting Exchange. SBK is a straightforward bookmaker, but it’s mobile only, so customers must download the SBK app to use their services. SBK’s slogan is ‘rewriting the sportsbook’, and they promise to offer the best value odds versus their competitors. Prices are drawn from the Smarkets exchange, allowing real-time odds to be presented in sportsbook form on the app.
Registering at SBK is easy. To participate in the £30 Free bets Welcome offer, click on the link below:
There are a number of safer gambling features at SBK, including deposit limits, loss limits, withdrawal cancellation, time out and self-exclusion. These can all be set via the ‘my limits’ section of the account menu.
We strongly suggest you make use of these features as they will help you to gamble responsible and enable gambling to remain a fun and exciting leisure activity.

For many years it was only possible to bet on sporting events before they began. However, in more recent years, alongside the growing popularity of the internet and mobile gaming, betting as an event is taking place has become more widely available to bettors. This type of betting is known as ‘live’ or ‘in play’ betting and there are pros and cons to this:
At SBK the sports which you can bet on In Play include football, tennis, cricket, CS:GO, cycling, motorsports, snooker and rugby union.
We have looked at a tennis match in the ITF France 16A competition to do our research.
Pre-match, there were nine markets available. These were Match Winner, Set Winner, Handicap Total Games, Total Games Over/Under, Sets Handicap, and over/under markets for each player.
We’ll take a closer look at the Match Winner market. Before play, Francesca Curmi to win had odds of 1.67 (4/6) and Emma Lene had odds of 2.10 (11/10). This means pre-match the bet margin was 7.5%.
Once the match had started, we found there were 13 markets available. The odds had changed to 1.68 for Curmi to win and 1.94 for Lene to be successful. This means the in-play bet margin was 11.07%. Showing that at SBK, the odds quality reduced considerably in-play.
Currently, customers can only view live streams of selected horse racing events at SBK. Users are required to have a positive balance in order to view live streams. Races with streaming availability are easily identifiable by the green ‘play’ symbol next to the time of the race and the live streaming message above the list of runners in that race.
At SBK you can live stream:
Horse Racing,
SBK provide a reasonable live betting experience. There is a good array of sports and markets with in play odds. However, live streaming is limited to horse racing and while it is not necessary to place a bet in order to watch, customers do need to have a positive account balance to do so. For some other sports events, there are live graphics that can track the action, but this does not compare to the reality of a live video stream. It does, however, allow customers to keep track of play to a certain extent whilst betting in play, so can prove to be a useful tool when it is available. Unfortunately we found the in-play odds to be poor value for money, so would consider an alternative bookmaker for live betting.
SBK do not have a desktop site, as they are a mobile-only, app based bookmaker. As a result, the app does everything that you would need and expect from an online bookie. We found the app intuitive to use, with customer satisfaction at its core – after each action such as depositing funds or placing a bet, SBK asks you to quickly rate how you found it, to ensure that they are providing customers with the very best betting experience.
We’ve talked about the SBK welcome offer for new customers at the top of this page so you will know it is £40 in Free bets when you bet £10. Place your first bet of at least £10 at minimum odds of evens (2). Then get 1x £10 Free Bet Builder bet, 1x £10 Multiple token, 1x £5 Free Horse Racing Multiple token and 1x £5 Free Football Bet Builder token. A further £10 Free Bet token will be credited 48 hours after the qualifying bet has been settled.

Offers for existing users are not the easiest thing to navigate at SBK. The promotions section of the app shows that there are currently no promotions available:
However, on the app homepage there are several promotions displayed across the top of the screen. To find the terms and conditions of these, users then need to navigate to the ‘bonus and promotions’ section of the Help Centre menu. SBK are certainly not making it easy for their customers to enjoy their offers but when they have some, this is where they will appear.
There is plenty to like about SBK. They offer a good range of sports with a respectable number of betting markets available for each of them, in a clear and organised layout. The app is generally intuitive to use, although promotions at SBK can be hard to find the details of, but they are there once you know where to look.
One particular plus point of SBK is their speed of processing withdrawals – we received our debit card withdrawal in under three minutes – and the selection of payment options available.
While pre match odds provide punters with good value for money, the in play odds are less generous. Take this coupled with a lack of live streaming for all sports except horse racing (which customers must have a positive account balance to view), and the live betting aspect of SBK lets the app down somewhat.
Despite this downside, SBK provides its customers with a reasonably good betting experience, super fast withdrawals, and a generous Welcome bonus. Therefore, we can award them a 3.8 rating.
