If you only know Matchbook to be an exchange, there are many other facts you’re missing out on. For example, the exchange provides a very detailed horse racing coverage and offers many bonuses and promotions. To know more about this exchange, read through to the end. We uncover both the strengths and weaknesses.

Matchbook Exchange covers over 10 sports in it’s prematch betting section, but its live betting is limited to only soccer, tennis, basketball, and ice hockey. The exchange provides many bonuses for existing players, but doesn’t have a welcome bonus for new players. It contains tools like trade out, bet builder, and live streaming for only greyhound and horse racing.
The strength of this exchange far exceeds its disadvantages. We’ll go into more details in the other sections.
The exchange is rated 3.9 stars on Trustpilot, and its apps are rated over 4 stars on their respective stores. Let’s go further into the review.

Although there’s no Matchbook welcome offer, we were still able to access other bonuses that include horse racing, golf, greyhound, and football. Here are more details on some of the bonuses available on Matchbook.
These are not the total list of bonuses on Matchbook. You can check the promotion page for details on the houses. For now, you don’t need any Matchbook bonus code to activate any of the bonuses; you only need to opt in.
Matchbook sports are only a bit over 10. Since it’s an exchange, the number of sports is quite understandable. Here’s a complete list of sports we found on the exchange.
Because Matchbook doesn’t operate as a sportsbook but exclusively as an exchange, the way odds work here is quite different. Instead of betting against Matchbook, you’ll be betting against other players, and Matchbook is only there to supervise and charge a 2% fee on the winnings.
The commission charge is just standard; it’s what most other exchanges in the UK charge, so you’re good to go.
We were only able to bet on cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, and ice hockey in the live betting section. The live betting section contains many advanced markets, match winner, handicaps, totals, correct scores, and others. We were able to use tools like the Bet Builder tool to create our custom bet and the Trade Out tool to cut losses.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t follow these matches live with live statistics, and the live streaming is exclusively for horse racing and greyhound racing sports. The streams are clear, and we didn’t experience any glitches.
We’ve reviewed the major sports on the exchange. We’ll go through these top Matchbook sports and let you know what we discovered and think about them.
Matchbook football betting supports pre-match and live betting. In these sections, we were able to bet on many competitions, including the English Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Champions League, Bundesliga, and many other competitions. We had access to the bet builder and trade-out tool, but we could not track or watch the match live. We like the fact that Matchbook football has a specific promotion that we’ve benefited from.
Matchbook actually exceeded our expectations for its horse racing coverage. It has several bonuses for horse racing, and we were able to stream many UK and Ireland races live as well as view detailed race cards. It covers Uk, Ireland, and many International races.
Tennis is one of the sports on Matchbook with live and pre-match betting. We were able to access tournaments like the ATP, WTA, Challenger events, and all Grand Slams. We particularly find the live betting section very profitable, because we have access to markets like match winner, handicap, totals, and correct scores.
Apart from these major sports, you can still bet on sports like cricket, greyhound racing, politics, and TV specials. Though there are no dedicated bonuses to most of these sports, and they’re only in the pre-match betting section, most of them still have a money line market you can bet on.
Among the sports we could access on this exchange, we couldn’t find esports.
From our experience, we didn’t encounter any issues with navigation and load time of the Matchbook mobile website. What seems to be the issue with the website is that it looks too clustered. There is too many information appearing on one page. The website is dominated by a grey background and red interface that gives a game-like view.
We really didn’t experience navigation issues while trying to find sports on both our desktop and mobile devices. There’s also a search button that even makes it much easier to find sports, competitions, and teams.
Here’s the step we had to go through before we could place a bet on Matchbook:
If you follow this process as we did, you shouldn’t experience any issues with placing a bet.
After you register and verify your account, you should proceed to set a limit on your account. Set a reminder and a deposit limit. These will help remind you how long you’ve been playing and won’t let you go beyond your budget. Options to set a limit can be found in every user’s account section. Go check it out and do accordingly.
We had access to 6 payment options, and they all support deposits and withdrawals. All our deposits were processed instantly, but withdrawal time varies. Here are more details on the payment methods we found.
Matchbook’s customer service is available via live chat and email. The live chat support only requires that you fill in your name, email, and your message before you’re transferred to an agent. The transfer is usually in less than 2 minutes, and they respond very fast and professionally, too.
Email support took a few hours to respond, but we eventually got a response within 24 hours. Additionally, we found an FAQ section that answers some basic questions.
These organizations have highly trained staff who help gamblers struggling with gambling addiction get the help they need. We advise all players to take advantage of these tools.
Matchbook does not operate as the usual sportsbook, but its registration process is practically the same as that of a sportsbook. It can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Here’s what it looks like:
From an expert perspective, Matchbook is an exchange with fewer games, but they have many sports, and their website and apps are of high quality. One of thing we find commendable about this exchange is their high-quality support.
Just to support our take, here’s what other actual players think about this Exchange:
Sam (5/5 Trustpilot)
“Matchbook has everything these days. Liquidity(as good as any exchange) Enhanced Specials, fast withdrawals, good customer service and so on. Why MB is better than the other exchanges? You’re not competing with Hanson who control liquidity on Smarkets.
Betdaq has no liquidity and Betfair has been on a downward Trend for 10 years. Matchbook should be the first place to go for any sharp bettor.”
Ryan Stephens (4/5 Trustpilot)
“Inan was very helpful when assisting with my request for an Enhanced Specials market, making the whole request fast and frictionless.”
Matchbook is a bookmaker we recommend for advanced and beginner players looking to explore an exchange. It’s also a bookmaker that’s rewarding to existing players, giving the fact that there is no welcome bonus for new players. We give Matchbook Sports a 4.7-star rating out of 5.
