New UK Betting Sites and Bookmakers for September 2026

By Jacob PeterReading time: 15 minutes

New bookmakers arrive in Britain every year, but a fresh logo and a large sign-up offer are not enough to make our list of the best new betting sites.

For September 2026, we have concentrated on six brands that UK bettors are likely to encounter when looking beyond the established names: BetMaze, DAZN Bet, Betsuna, Betrino, MogoBet and JeffBet. Every active operator featured here is available to British customers and its current licensing position has been checked against the UK Gambling Commission register.

We have also revisited the things that make a difference once the welcome banner disappears: sportsbook depth, mobile usability, useful betting features, payments and the small-print attached to withdrawals.

Our rankings and offers are checked regularly because new bookies can change more quickly than established bookmakers.

New UK Betting Sites and Bookmakers

Best New Betting Sites UK – Updated September 2026

Our shortlist is not simply a list of sites with recent-looking websites.

We distinguish between a genuinely new bookmaker, a brand entering the UK for the first time and a substantial relaunch. Betrino, for example, is the 2024 rebrand of BritainBet rather than a sportsbook built from scratch. DAZN Bet and JeffBet, meanwhile, genuinely arrived in Britain in 2022.

BetMaze

Betmaze Homepage UKBEtmaze Homepage United Kingdom

BetMaze is the awkward one on this list, and that is precisely why it needs more explanation than a normal affiliate paragraph.

We reviewed the original BetMaze after its 2025 arrival and liked the breadth of the sportsbook, with more than 35 sports, a responsive mobile product and a relatively modern interface. However, that version operated at BetMaze.com under AG Communications. BetMaze.com officially stopped operating on 29 January 2026 and the UKGC now marks that domain inactive.

The current BetMaze.co.uk is different from a regulatory perspective. It appears on ProgressPlay Limited's UKGC account 39335 as a white-label domain. Its current homepage advertises a Bet £10, Get £10 Free Bet sportsbook promotion.

That matters to us. We would not take the old 9/10 BetBrothers score and simply paste it onto the current site. From an editorial point of view, the new version has to earn its rating again.

What we do like is that the current site remains straightforward: sports, casino and live products sit under one account and the payment menu is reasonably broad. What it lacks, for now, is the same length of independently observable track record that we would expect from a long-established bookmaker.

Read our full BetMaze review, but bear in mind the review predates the current licensing/domain arrangement.

  • No compelling native-app proposition at present
  • £10 welcome reward is smaller than several rivals here

Current BetMaze withdrawal information lists one business day of internal processing, with e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller among the faster options.

DAZN Bet

DAZN Bet Sports UK Homepage pcDAZN Bet Sports UK Homepage

Has had longer than most of the names here to grow out of its “new bookmaker” phase. It soft-launched in Britain on 22 August 2022 as DAZN's first betting market, with the original idea of bringing betting closer to its sports-media ecosystem.

Four years on, the sportsbook feels more mature than the launch story might suggest. In our testing, the attraction is not an enormous bonus but the product itself: dedicated iOS and Android apps, in-play betting, cash out and a layout that feels designed around sport rather than a casino lobby with a sportsbook bolted on.

The UKGC register currently lists DZBT Limited, account 48756, with DAZN Bet and daznbet.com active.

DAZN Bet's payment information is also unusually clear. It publishes individual withdrawal estimates: Apple Pay and PayPal are generally quoted at one to two business days, Skrill at one to three, while debit card and bank transfer may take up to five. The operator can also spend up to 24 hours reviewing a withdrawal before the payment-provider timeframe begins.

See our DAZN Bet review for the complete sportsbook test.

Betsuna

Betsuna UK Homepage Sportsbook pcBetsuna UK Homepage Sportsbook

The genuinely new name in this update. Betsuna, is a brand launched in Britain and Ireland in May 2026 and is operated by ProgressPlay Limited under UKGC account 39335.

We were particularly interested in Betsuna because new operators often arrive with one flashy feature and leave the basics underdeveloped. Here the opposite is closer to the truth. When we tested the sportsbook for our full review, we found more than 40 sports, Cash Out, Bet Builder, accumulator boosts and live streaming on selected events. The mobile website was quick and clean enough that the absence of a dedicated app did not become a major nuisance.

Its £50 free-bet headline is the largest standard sports welcome reward in this six-site comparison. The important detail is that it is a single £50 free bet with the stake not returned, minimum odds of 1.5, a seven-day window and 1x wagering on resulting winnings. Skrill and Neteller are excluded from the promotion.

Betrino

Betrino Sports UK HomepageBetrino Sports UK Homepage

This betting site is new in branding terms rather than operational history. BritainBet launched earlier and was rebranded as Betrino during 2024. That distinction matters: it has more history behind the scenes than a bookmaker that truly started from zero in 2024.

Our experience with Betrino is that the sportsbook is broad and easy enough to use, but the better reason to keep it on the shortlist is its promotional ecosystem rather than its £10 welcome free bet. Bet Builder, accumulator boosts, cashback campaigns and its rewards programme give returning bettors more to look at after registration.

The drawback is mobile inconsistency. Betrino advertises a dedicated Android application, while iPhone users rely on the responsive website. That mobile site works well, but a bookmaker competing in 2026 should ideally have parity between Android and iOS.

Another case where “founded” and “UK launch” can produce different dates depending on the source. Some descriptions trace the brand further back, but its modern UK launch is generally dated to 2024, with contemporary UK sources placing the arrival around September or October.

In everyday use, we found MogoBet more polished than its low profile might suggest. There is a large sports menu, in-play markets and enough promotions to stop the site feeling empty between major events. Its current new-customer promotion is Bet £10, Get £30 Free Bet, with 1x wagering on the winnings, a £200 maximum conversion and a seven-day validity period.

The Android app is useful and we have tested it separately. iPhone users again have to make do with the mobile website.

Our MogoBet review has the full breakdown.

JeffBet

Jeffbet UK Sports HomepageJeffbet UK Sports Homepage

JeffBet officially launched in April 2022 on the ProgressPlay platform. At launch, it promoted itself as a challenger to the large consolidated betting groups, offering sports, in-play betting and casino products from a single account.

We still think the sportsbook does the basics well. There are more than 40 sports, plenty of familiar football and tennis markets and a £30 free-bet offer after a £10 qualifying bet. What it lacks is a feature that makes us immediately choose JeffBet over every other ProgressPlay sportsbook.

There has also been a domain change worth noting. The UKGC register lists the old jeffbet.com as inactive and jeffbet.net as a current ProgressPlay white-label domain.

Our full JeffBet review goes deeper into its markets and features.

JeffBet's current payment guidance quotes e-wallet withdrawals at 0–24 hours, debit cards at one to three working days and bank transfers at two to five working days, although additional account checks can extend those periods.

Newest UK Bookmakers and Their Launch Dates

A launch date tells us how much public history a bookmaker has. The operating company tells us something different: whether the supposedly new bookie is backed by an experienced gambling group or is genuinely starting from scratch.

That is particularly relevant here because four of the six names are currently connected to ProgressPlay.

New Betting Site Bonuses and Sign-Up Offers

A big number in a banner is only the beginning of a welcome offer.

What matters is how much you must risk to qualify, the minimum odds, whether the free-bet stake is returned, how long the reward lasts and whether winnings have to be wagered before they become withdrawable cash.

You can compare more promotions in our guide to free bets.

The ProgressPlay brands also use network-level restrictions. In practical terms, registering at several sister brands does not necessarily mean you will qualify for a welcome reward at every one of them. That is a small-print detail we would check before depositing, not after placing the qualifying bet.

🎁 Free Bet Offers

Most of the offers above use the familiar bet-and-get model. Place a real-money qualifying wager and the bookmaker credits a free-bet token after settlement. This differs from a free bet no deposit, where no qualifying deposit is required to receive the initial reward.

The most important point for beginners is that the free-bet stake is normally not returned. A £30 free bet winning at decimal odds of 2.00 therefore usually produces £30 rather than £60.

Minimum odds and expiry dates can reduce usable value just as much as the headline reward.

🎁 Matched Deposit Offers

Matched deposits are more common in casino offers than in the six sportsbooks above.

A 100% match does not mean the bookmaker has simply doubled withdrawable cash. Look for the maximum bonus, wagering requirement, eligible markets and maximum conversion. The tougher those conditions, the less valuable the headline percentage becomes.

🎁 Odds Boosts, Cashback and Ongoing Promotions

This is where some new bookies become more interesting.

Betrino, MogoBet, JeffBet and Betsuna all run accumulator boosts, cashback promotions or rewards programmes. These are aimed at existing customers rather than only the person opening an account for the first time.

We tend to value a useful recurring promotion more highly than a huge sign-up bonus followed by an empty promotions page.

New Mobile Betting Sites and Apps

A native app is convenient, but it is no longer essential. A good HTML5 mobile sportsbook can handle registration, bet placement, live betting, deposits, withdrawals and safer-gambling settings without sending users to an app store.

New Betting Sites by Sport

A bookmaker can look comprehensive because its menu contains 40 sports and still be weak where it counts. We therefore look at market depth, not just the number of icons in the navigation.

New Football Betting Sites

Football remains the easiest sport on which to expose a shallow sportsbook.

We check Premier League and EFL market depth, player props, corners and cards, Bet Builder coverage, in-play pricing and accumulator features. Betsuna performed well in our testing because Cash Out and Bet Builder were available on the bigger fixtures, while MogoBet, JeffBet and Betrino all provide a broad football menu.

For a wider comparison with established brands, see our football betting sites guide.

New Horse Racing Bookies

Horse racing needs a different set of checks.

A serious racing bookmaker should offer UK and Irish meetings alongside each-way betting, extra places, Best Odds Guaranteed where advertised and useful racecards. Some new general sportsbooks provide plenty of race fixtures without matching specialist bookies on each-way concessions.

This is an area where we would compare a new operator against established and independent online bookmakers rather than assuming “new” means better.

New Bookmakers for Other Sports

Boxing, MMA and ice hockey are useful tests because many sportsbooks list them without offering much depth.

DAZN Bet naturally attracts attention around boxing because of the wider DAZN brand, although welcome-offer eligibility can exclude boxing. Betsuna and JeffBet both listed MMA and ice hockey among a much broader sports menu during our reviews.

Anyone specifically looking for exchange-style prices should also compare these fixed-odds brands with betting exchange sites once our dedicated guide is available.

Payment Methods at New Betting Sites

Payment choice matters most when the method works both ways.

Paysafecard and pay-by-mobile services can be convenient deposit options but are not always suitable for withdrawals. E-wallets are often faster, while debit-card withdrawals can take several business days.

What Counts as a New Betting Site?

For this page, we normally consider three categories:

  • Recently launched bookmakers: genuinely new brands with a relatively short UK operating history.
  • New UK entrants: operators established elsewhere but newly available to British customers.
  • Substantial relaunches: existing sportsbooks that have undergone a meaningful rebrand or product relaunch, such as BritainBet becoming Betrino.

As a working rule, we normally treat a bookmaker launched or substantially relaunched within roughly the last three to four years as new enough for consideration. We may keep an older operator in the comparison for longer if it remains a useful context for the current crop.

A new welcome promotion alone does not make an established bookmaker a new betting site.

What New Bookmakers Can Offer

The advantage of being new is that there is less legacy product to protect. A challenger can simplify its navigation, rethink its mobile interface or launch with a more aggressive promotional strategy.

The disadvantage is just as obvious: there is less history showing how the operator performs when verification, customer support or a large withdrawal becomes complicated.

⚙️ Modern Betting Features

New sportsbooks increasingly compete through Bet Builders, personalised market displays, live statistics, faster bet slips, accumulator boosts and streaming.

The better innovations remove friction. The weaker ones simply add more flashing panels to the homepage.

📊 Competitive Odds and Market Choice

A new bookmaker may sharpen a handful of high-profile prices to attract attention.

That does not mean its prices are consistently better. We compare representative fixtures across several competitions rather than finding one attractive Premier League selection and declaring the sportsbook “best odds”.

The same principle applies to market depth. Ten pages of niche competitions are not much use if the bookmaker offers only a handful of markets on each event.

🎁 New Betting Site Offers

New operators commonly use free bets, deposit matches, cashback, boosted odds and recurring rewards to acquire customers.

Our preference is simple: transparent terms beat a bigger headline. A £20 reward you can understand is often more useful than “£100” surrounded by qualifying rules, conversion caps and exclusions.

New Betting Sites vs Established Bookmakers

Neither group wins automatically.

How We Review and Rank New Betting Sites

We combine hands-on product testing, operator terms, UKGC records and follow-up checks of promotions and payments.

A recent launch earns a bookmaker a place on our research list, not automatically in our rankings.

  • UKGC Licence and Operator Background

    We search the Gambling Commission’s business register using the operator name and domain, then check the account number and current domain status.

    This step proved particularly important for this update. It showed that BetMaze.com is inactive under its former operator while BetMaze.co.uk is now listed under ProgressPlay, and that JeffBet’s current listed white-label domain is JeffBet.net rather than the original .com.

    verified-license-icon
  • Launch Date and Early Track Record

    We cross-check company announcements, industry reporting and our previous reviews.

    We also distinguish a launch from a rebrand. Calling Betrino “founded in 2024” without mentioning BritainBet would exaggerate how new the underlying operation actually is.

  • Sports, Markets and Betting Value

    We open representative events across football, racing and at least a handful of secondary sports.

    We look at the number of markets, live coverage, Bet Builder availability, Cash Out, useful statistics and whether odds remain competitive across multiple fixtures.

    variety-of-sports-icon
  • Welcome Offers and Promotion Terms

    We record the qualifying stake, minimum odds, reward format, expiry period, wagering requirement, maximum conversion and excluded payment methods.

    That is why Betsuna’s £50 reward scores well for headline value but still needs the £200 conversion cap, seven-day expiry and 1x wagering explained beside it.

    bonus-and-promotion icon1-150x150
  • Deposits, Withdrawals and Account Verification

    Where our team holds a suitable test account, we inspect the cashier and the verification journey and compare the experience with the published payment terms.

    We never regard an advertised “fast payout” as proof of a guaranteed withdrawal time. KYC, source-of-funds checks, weekends and the receiving payment provider can all affect how long the process takes.

    payment-options-icon
  • Mobile Product and Site Performance

    We test navigation, market loading, the bet slip, in-play use, account controls and the cashier on mobile.

    A native application gets extra credit only if it improves the experience. We would rather use a fast mobile website than a neglected app.

    mobile sports and betting market icon
  • Customer Support and Transparency

    We look for live chat availability, email support, clarity of bonus terms and whether useful answers are accessible without creating an account.

    Response quality matters as much as response speed. An instant chatbot that cannot answer the question does not outperform a human reply that takes two minutes.

    customer-support-icon-

How to Choose a New Betting Site

Before depositing, check:

  • the exact domain in the UKGC register;
  • who owns and operates the sportsbook;
  • the real conditions behind the welcome offer;
  • whether your preferred sports have enough market depth;
  • prices across several fixtures rather than one event;
  • your preferred deposit and withdrawal methods;
  • expected payout times and any stated fees;
  • whether mobile web is enough or you want a native app;
  • available customer-support channels;
  • safer-gambling tools and account limits.
The ownership check deserves particular emphasis with new online bookmakers. Several seemingly different sites may operate on the same platform or licence, which can affect bonus eligibility and make their underlying products more similar than their branding suggests.

How to Sign Up with a New Bookmaker

  1. Open the bookmaker through the correct offer or review link.
  2. Enter your personal details accurately and create the account.
  3. Complete the required age and identity verification checks.
  4. Set appropriate account or deposit limits.
  5. Opt in to the promotion where required.
  6. Deposit using an eligible payment method.
  7. Place the qualifying bet according to the minimum-stake and odds rules.
  8. Wait for settlement and confirm that the reward has been creditedDo not make an extra bet merely to “unlock” a bonus unless the published promotional terms actually require it.

FAQ. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What qualifies a bookmaker as a new betting site?

    Usually, a brand launched or substantially relaunched in the UK within the last three to four years.

  • How can I verify that a new betting site is licensed in the UK?

  • Do new betting sites usually have better welcome offers?

  • Can recently launched bookmakers be trusted with withdrawals?

    Yes, provided they are UKGC-licensed and have clear payment, verification and withdrawal policies.

  • Do all new betting sites provide iOS and Android apps?

    No. Some offer native apps, while others rely on a fully responsive mobile site.

  • Can I use PayPal at new betting sites?

    Often, yes, although availability and bonus eligibility vary by bookmaker.

  • Do new bookmakers offer competitive odds?

    They can, but compare prices across several events rather than judging from one market.
