Levante vs Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga) Odds and Bets 31.10.2026

Some away trips look straightforward on paper, only to become much more complicated than expected. Atletico Madrid know that feeling when visiting Levante. The last time they played at the Ciutat de Valencia, back in February, they left with a goalless draw. But this autumn’s Atletico are not the same side they were last winter, and Levante are not arriving with the same defensive solidity either.
Let’s start with the visitors. Diego Simeone’s side sit second with 22 points from nine matches, having recorded seven wins, one draw and one defeat. They have won six consecutive league games against Espanyol, Alaves, Real Madrid, Osasuna, Real Sociedad and, most recently, Deportivo at the Metropolitano last Saturday (1-0). Those victories have come in all shapes and sizes. In Vitoria, an 87th-minute header from Cuti Romero secured the points, while the 1-0 win in Cornella was a hard-fought affair. This is a team that knows how to win without playing particularly well, a quality worth its weight in gold in La Liga. And they have plenty of attacking options: Jonathan David, Kang-in Lee, Giuliano Simeone, Alex Baena and Pablo Barrios, who scored inside the opening minute against Manchester United in the Champions League. At the back, Jan Oblak provides the stability expected of a title contender, with Grimaldo, Hancko and Pubill playing in front of him.
On the other side are a Levante team who score almost as freely as they concede. They sit 14th with ten points and have scored nine goals while conceding ten across their last five matches: a 2-1 defeat in San Sebastian on Sunday, a 3-1 win over Athletic Club, a 1-1 draw at Riazor, a 3-3 draw with Sevilla and a 3-1 defeat at Villarreal. Before that, they had beaten Real Betis 5-2 and lost 4-2 at home to Barcelona. Levante clearly have attacking firepower, but their defence has been conceding more than two goals per match whenever they face stronger opposition.
That is where this match could be decided. Levante have enough quality to score, so this is not a contest that can be considered settled before kick-off. However, they lack the resources to contain an in-form Atletico Madrid for the full 90 minutes. The visitors have one clear advantage: they know how to win in different ways, even when matches become complicated.
The only real concern is the fixture schedule. Atletico have Champions League football during the week and Barcelona visiting the Metropolitano on Sunday 8 November. Simeone has already shown he knows how to manage his players’ minutes. Johnny Cardoso also remains sidelined, while Kang-in Lee is carrying a knock. Even with potential rotation, however, the difference in squad quality is significant enough to prevent too much concern.
