What Is the Premier League?
The Premier League usually hosts 20 clubs each season, and it runs a relegation and promotion system. The way the relegation system works is that the bottom 3 teams are moved to the league below the Premier League for the next season. Meanwhile, the top 2 teams in the Championship will move up into the Premier League for the next season, alongside the third team that wins the Championship play-offs.
