A full guide for the 16 World Cup 2026 stadiums
From veteran grounds to glitzy modern arenas, there is broad variety of stadiums at this summer's World Cup

A run through each of the 16 stadiums at the World Cup across the US, Mexico and Canada, along with fixture, location, capacity and kick-off times

The 2026 World Cup will be the biggest edition in the tournament’s history, with an expanded 48-team format spread across 16 host stadiums in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The stadiums will vary from iconic old football venues to repurposed state-of-the-art NFL arenas that will welcome millions of fans throughout the seven-week competition.

Several of the venues are historic, particularly Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca which will host the opening game between Mexico and South Africa, and in doing so will become the first stadium to host matches at three different World Cups. Then there are a number of modern NFL super-stadiums that bring world-class facilities and vast capacities.

Below, we take a run through every 2026 World Cup stadium, including where each venue is located, how many fans it can hold, which teams call it home and the matches it will host during the tournament. It should also be noted that, due to FIFA licensing regulations, the stadiums will take alternative names from their original ones, which we have outlined below.
