Norway vs England – Predictions and Odds – 2026 World Cup (July 11, 2026)

Norway face England in a finely balanced World Cup quarter-final, although I give England a narrow edge because of the greater depth in their squad. Much of the focus will fall on Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, two forwards who can influence the result even when chances are limited.
Norway arrive with confidence after knocking out Brazil and have shown they do not need long spells of possession to create danger. Their best route is likely to be through quick transitions, with Martin Ødegaard looking to release Haaland and Antonio Nusa attacking from wide areas. The concern is that Norway have conceded in every match so far.
England remain unbeaten and, despite not always controlling matches convincingly, they have several players capable of deciding tight contests. Kane’s movement away from the centre-backs can create room for Jude Bellingham to arrive from midfield. Defensively, England must prevent Ødegaard from receiving the ball in areas where he can dictate play.
My safer selection is England to qualify, at around 1.50, as this also covers extra time and penalties. For a higher-risk option, I prefer Harry Kane to score at any time, at approximately 4.50. Norway have allowed opponents chances throughout the tournament, while Kane remains England’s main finisher and first-choice penalty taker.
