Tennis Odds Comparison

The BetBrothers Match Center brings together tennis odds for supported fixtures across the men’s and women’s tours. Use our tennis odds comparison to check available match-winner prices side by side. Start with the same match and selection, compare the settlement terms, then confirm the price before placing your bet.

Tennis Grand Slam Odds

The Grand Slam calendar takes tennis from Melbourne’s hard courts to the clay of Paris, Wimbledon’s grass and New York. Compare tennis grand slam odds for individual matches or the eventual singles champions, keeping the men’s and women’s markets separate. These are the four tournaments to follow:

  • Australian Open: Melbourne hosts the opening Grand Slam of the season on hard courts. Look for Australian Open betting odds on individual match winners and the men’s and women’s singles titles.
  • Roland Garros: Also known as the French Open, this Paris tournament is the only clay-court Grand Slam. Roland Garros betting odds cover match winners and outright champions, where available.
  • Wimbledon: London’s grass-court Grand Slam is a highlight of the British sporting summer. Compare Wimbledon betting odds for individual matches and outright markets on who will lift the singles trophies.
  • US Open: New York stages the final Grand Slam of the season on hard courts. US Open tennis odds include match-winner prices and outright odds for the men’s and women’s singles competitions.

ATP Tennis Betting Odds and Women’s Tennis Odds

ATP tennis betting odds cover matches on the men’s tour, while women's tennis odds include WTA fixtures. Both use two-way match-winner markets: you choose which player will win, with no draw selection.

Coverage depends on the tournament, round and available prices. A major singles match may have more markets than an early-round fixture elsewhere, so check the actual listing rather than assuming every event offers the same choice.

When checking tennis odds today:

  1. Find the fixture. Confirm the players, tournament and scheduled UK start time.
  2. Choose the market. Match winners, set scores and outright winners are different selections.
  3. Compare the terms. Check retirement and walkover rules alongside the price.
  4. Confirm your bet. Read the final odds on the bet slip before submitting it.

Tennis Betting Markets

There is more to tennis betting than picking the winner. You can also predict the score in sets, the winning margin or how many games a match will contain. Here is how the main markets work.

⭐ Match Winner Odds

This market asks which player will win the match. The score does not matter if the match finishes normally: a straight-sets victory and a win in the deciding set both count.

Example: You back Player A to beat Player B. Your selection wins if Player A wins the completed match.

If a player retires, settlement depends on the bookmaker’s rules. Advancing to the next round does not automatically make the remaining player a winning betting selection.

⭐ Set Betting and Correct Set Score

Set betting commonly means predicting the match’s final score in sets. In a best-of-three match, you might back a player to win 2-0 or 2-1. In a best-of-five match, that player could win 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2.

Example: Player A to win 2-1 requires them to win the match while losing exactly one set.

Check the market title carefully. Predicting a 6-4 score in a particular set is different from predicting the match score in sets, and bookmakers may use different labels.

⭐ Games and Sets Handicaps

A handicap adds or subtracts games or sets for betting purposes. It changes how the result is assessed without changing the actual match score.

  • Games handicap: Player A at -3.5 games must finish at least four games ahead in total. A 6-4, 6-4 win gives them 12 games to eight, covering the handicap.
  • Sets handicap: Player A at -1.5 sets in a best-of-three match needs a 2–0 victory.

Games and sets are not interchangeable. Always check which unit the handicap uses and how incomplete matches are treated.

⭐ Total Games and Total Sets

Totals markets ask whether a match finishes above or below a specified line. You do not necessarily need to predict the winner.

  • Over 22.5 games: A completed match must contain at least 23 games. A 7-5, 6-4 result contains 22, so this selection loses.
  • Over 2.5 sets: In a best-of-three match, the contest must reach a third set and meet the market’s settlement conditions.

Check how the bookmaker counts tie-breaks, particularly a match tie-break used instead of a deciding set.

Live Tennis Odds

Live tennis odds can move after every point. A break of serve, a lost set or a change in a player’s physical condition can alter the price quickly. The effect also depends on who serves next and how close either player is to winning.

Markets may pause during interruptions or while prices are recalculated. A score feed or television broadcast can be delayed, so do not assume everything you see is synchronised. Always check the price offered when your bet is accepted.

How to Read Tennis Betting Odds

Odds show the potential return on a successful bet. Fractional and decimal prices express the same information differently; understanding the conversion makes comparisons easier.

Fractional and Decimal Odds

Fractional odds show profit relative to your stake. At 5/2, a winning £2 stake earns £5 profit, with the £2 stake returned as well. Decimal odds include the stake in the quoted return per £1 bet.

These examples use the same £10 stake:

Fractional oddsDecimal equivalentProfit if successfulTotal return
1/21.50£5£15
5/42.25£12.50£22.50
5/23.50£25£35

To convert fractions to decimals, divide the first number by the second and add one. For 5/2, that gives 5 ÷ 2 + 1 = 3.50.

Implied Probability and Bookmaker Margin

Implied probability converts the odds into a percentage. With fractional odds, divide the denominator by the sum of both numbers, then multiply by 100. At 5/2, that is 2 ÷ 7 × 100, or approximately 28.6%.

Bookmaker prices typically include a margin. If both players in a hypothetical match are priced at 10/11, each has an implied probability of about 52.4%. Together they total approximately 104.8%, an overround of 4.8 percentage points.

The overround reflects the market’s pricing margin, not a guaranteed bookmaker profit. Implied probability is also not an independent measurement of a player’s true chance.

What Affects Tennis Odds?

Rankings are only part of the picture. A player’s suitability for the conditions, physical state and route through the tournament can all influence their price.

Surface, Recent Form and Fitness

Results on clay may say less about a player’s grass-court prospects than their record on grass itself. Consider the surface alongside recent performances and the quality of opponents faced.

Fitness matters too. A player returning from injury or coming through a demanding match may be priced differently from one arriving well rested. Confirmed information is more useful than guessing from a single poor service game.

Draw, Match Format and Scheduling

The draw matters especially for outright bets: facing a strong opponent early can make the path to the title harder. Match format also changes the task. Winning two sets in a best-of-three contest is different from needing three in a best-of-five match.

Recovery time, late finishes and weather delays can affect preparation. Scheduled start times are often estimates because players must wait for earlier matches on the same court to finish.

Odds Sources and Market Availability

Compare the available bookmaker quotes for the same selection and check any displayed update time. Coverage can vary by tournament, round and market, while live prices are shown only for supported fixtures.

An unavailable or suspended market is not an offer you can bet on. Prices may change between viewing the comparison and reaching the bookmaker’s bet slip, so confirm the final quote and settlement terms.

Retirements and walkovers need particular attention. A retirement happens after play begins; a walkover occurs when a player advances without the match starting. Bookmakers may apply different completion requirements to match-winner, handicap and totals bets. Check the rules for your specific market before betting.

FAQ. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I compare tennis odds from UK bookmakers?

Use the BetBrothers Tennis Match Center for supported fixtures. Find your match, compare prices for the same selection and check the bookmaker’s terms. Confirm the final odds before placing the bet.

  • Which tennis markets are available beyond the match winner?

Common options include set betting, correct scores, games and sets handicaps, and total games or sets. Tournament-winner markets may also be available. The choice depends on the fixture and bookmaker.

  • What is the difference between match odds and Grand Slam winner odds?

Match odds concern one fixture. Grand Slam winner odds concern who wins the entire specified tournament draw, such as the women’s singles at Wimbledon. Winning one match does not settle a tournament-winner bet as successful.

  • Can I compare ATP and WTA odds on the same page?

Yes, where both are supported by the Match Center. Check the tournament label and player names to find the correct fixture. The available matches and markets depend on coverage.

  • How do live tennis prices change during a match?

Prices respond to points, games, sets and the changing likelihood of either player winning. Breaks of serve and signs of injury can cause larger moves. Markets can also be suspended temporarily.

  • What happens to a tennis bet if a player retires or receives a walkover?

It depends on the bookmaker and market. Walkover match bets are commonly void, while retirement settlement may depend on whether a specified amount of play was completed. Markets already decided may stand. Check the applicable terms rather than assuming every bet is refunded.
